A Merle French Bulldog?

Merle French Bulldogs are a relatively new addition to the French Bulldog family, and have quickly become a very popular breed. The unmistakable merle pattern and playful personalities of the Merle French Bulldog have won the hearts of many owners, who are very happy to show them off. These unique little dogs are full of personality and are sure to be the center of attention in any household.

    • Appearance:

    Merle French Bulldogs are short but solid, with long, rounded heads, short muzzles, and large listen and dark eyes. They have a short, thick coat, which is often white, dark grey, or light tan with a merle pattern. The merle pattern is unique to this breed and is characterized by irregular patches of colored or pale fur that aren’t regularly spaced or sized. Merle French Bulldogs may have patches, flecks, stripes, or a melted look.

    Character:

    Merle French Bulldogs have an inquisitive and outgoing nature that makes them a perfect companion for an active family. They are intelligent and eager to please, making them easy to train. Merle French Bulldogs are also very friendly and social, and do well with children and other animals.     Health:

    Like all French Bulldogs, Merles can be prone to some health problems, such as luxating patellas, skin allergies, eye problems, and breathing difficulties. Because the Merle coat is a relatively new color, it is important to choose a breeder who has done health screenings for the litter. A well-bred Merle French Bulldog should have a long and healthy life, provided that it is given the proper care, including regular veterinary check-ups and a healthy diet.

    Exercise:

    Merles are an energetic breed that needs regular exercise to stay healthy and happy. While they are small enough to live in an apartment or other small living area, they should not be confined to a crate or small area. They will do best with at least one hour of exercise per day.

    Grooming:

    Merle French Bulldogs have a short, thick coat that will require occasional brushing to keep it looking its best. They do not need to be bathed too often, as they posses natural oils which help keep their coat healthy. Nail trimming and ear cleaning may also be necessary.
